One Universe at a Time

Nanomaterials/Astrochemistry

Nanotechnology is a hot topic these days, but people have actually been using nanotech for thousands of years. For example, you can see nanoscale gold dust in the paintings of ancient artists. Today we’re talking with John-David Rocha, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. We’ll find out what’s so special about nanomaterials. In the second half of our show we’ll talk about astrochemistry, and how complex molecules can form in the cold depths of space.
