The idea of a rock coming from another star system and vising the sun is rather astounding. It’s possible, though not likely, that Oumuamua is older than the sun.

Maybe it will all inspire some good science fiction. I could see some authors taking H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Colour out of Space” and bending it another way.
