I think possibly negligible
What then decided which way a person goes? I think only one starting point is consistent with the various correlates. It”s not political belief /affiliation. That is strongly indicated but it has to be incidental or otherwise those in the camp most favouring the doubt campaign, who been exposed to the scoence before learning such a doubt campaign existed would initially adopt the science as a skeptic but drop it in favour of the doubt campaign once exposed to it

But that isn’t what appears to happen. People adopt the side they are exposed to first. No one has surveyed this question, but if it were not so side changing would be common enough some of us would know instances.

Is it necessary to do this for every claim of proof that visitors from another world built the pyramids (or whatever)? The climate-change denying, privatize the profits and socialize the costs, America first! bunch has no credibility. This is an unfortunate state of affairs, I look forward to a day when ‘argument in good faith’ is a thing again, and yet . . .

I’m not putting the site I used to convert it here but you can google “pdf to epub” to find one.

Unfortunately I don’t think there is an equivalent: if you want the actual science you need to read the WG1 report (this is the only one I’ve looked at in fact), but it’s 1,500 pages: the synthesis report is probably the closest, but I suspect it’s not very close.
