Technically Pluto isn’t a planet. But it’s also tidally locked with Charon, so if you were on Pluto, Charon would always be in the same place in the sky.

Wouldn’t Charon look bigger than our moon if you were on Pluto??? Or are you not regarding Pluto as a planet?

Shouldn’t the skies be less red during sunset if blue moons were produced? I’m really confused. I’ve heard of historians comparing the redness of classical paintings of sunsets during volcanic eruptions but never the blue moon thing.

The red sunsets refers to the red skies of the sunset, not the sun itself.

Yeah, I’m aware of Mie scattering and its effect on Mars, it’s just that it doesn’t quite make sense to me that Krakatoa’s ash would simultaneously produce extra red sunsets and blue moons. It would seem to me that one or the other could happen but not both at once.

I get how the ash created red sunsets, but not so much the blue moons.
